How Sosober works
- SOS. Hold the red button when the craving hits. People you invited get an alert and can message you.
- Support network. Invite one or two people you trust. They join with your code. Their use of the app is free.
- Risk zones. Mark places that tempt you. Alerts are evaluated on your phone. Your live location never leaves the device.
- Sober days. The app counts days without drinking and an estimate of money saved.
Common questions
I did not get an SOS or a chat message
Check that notifications are allowed for Sosober, that the phone is online, and that Low Power Mode or battery savers are not killing background activity. Ask the other person to confirm they are using the same invitation link or code.
How do I invite someone?
Open the support network in the app, share your invitation and your code. They install Sosober, choose "I want to help someone", and enter the code.
Is there a subscription?
Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, not by us. Cancel anytime from your App Store subscriptions or Google Play subscriptions.
How do I delete my account?
In the app go to Profile and delete your account. That removes your name, risk zones, support links and messages from our servers.
Is Sosober therapy or rehab?
No. It is support between people you choose. For clinical help, contact a professional or a local helpline. Crisis numbers are listed in the app.
